    1. much appreciated and thank you very much. i enjoy yours as well, for the same reasons you honor me with. con’t the good writing, i will stop through from time to time; drinking coffee, listen to miles and smoking a cigarillo…

      1. Lololo…..i could do without the cigars!….but to enjoy every moment i live, write and eat is a blessing thatI have taken for granted many times…too many times….I find myself actually licking my wounds and keeping them present, even though I thought that I had forgiven some things and moved on….no one can be with their head stuck “in their baggage ” and still truly enjoy the “now”….you know, kgbethlehem, nothing is random and everything happens for a purpose….I REALLY needed to be reminded of this right now, to enjoy every moment…..thanks, my friend…. I will, and I wish the same for you!

      2. wow, no doubt and i agree with you very much. true words and if we all can hold true to how you go through life the term “live and let live” will be more apparent and people can just relax and deal with reality. that’s enough for a person lol. good mantra to live by souljah. be easy, will talk soon

  9. Thanks for the like on my blog. Wow, you have written about a lot of things. Much to explore here. BTW, I too grew up in St. Louis…and my dad graduated from Normandy. In fact, my grandparents’ house was taken/bought by eminent domain to build the “new” Normandy H.S. That would have been late ’60s, I think. It’s a small world!

    1. Thank you and very much appreciate your words. Wow, yes indeed it is a small world. me and my brother graduate from there as well (93 & 87). My “Pops” worked there as a security guard for over 30 yrs. Indeed it is a small world.

Sorry to hear about the eminent domain; i know it was a long time ago but still i dislike, well almost hate the use of it. but that is another topic for a another day/posting. I will check out your blog some more, again thanks and feel free to stop by anytime..

I hope to have more of them soon, amid whatever other writing material I come up with. 😉

Incidentally, the link at the top of this page seems to have acquired an extra “http” in the address.
It is possible to visit the link by copying the whole thing and then deleting that extra bit as I go, but the link doesn’t work as is, and attempting to visit it as is merely takes me to a search engine with an error message.

  17. A friend of mine really likes the image of Jimmy Baldwin and Nina Simone (with him looking at a piece of paper and smiling). Can you tell me what the source of that image is? It’s too tiny to do much with in its current digital form. Thanks!

  18. Nice to meet you. You have accomplished very much, and I commend you for your services helping people. We need more people to start looking out for others. There’s a lot of bad feeling out there, it’s an us against them mentality and I don’t know how to stop it. We have to live and work together, better yet, love one another.
