One thing about writing a novel. No matter how far you get in your first draft, take a minute to read over what you have written so far. It’s not just about grammar; no, it’s about making sure your story percolates and making sure your characters’ voices consistent along with your setting. Your account must flow, seriously like uninterrupted water.
Check this, would you rather sit on a bank of a “free” river, surveying the running of water? Or would you instead stare at a dam, blocking the sovereignty of the stream?
Great points. I’m still struggling with this first draft of my Camp NaNoWriMo project I did last month.

Thank you. Is there anything you can do to help get you into the flow? I know for me music, especially elder scrolls music helps me. And jazz

You’re welcome. Music certainly helps and setting aside enough time to get writing done can help. Nothing wrong with jazz.
