Beautiful. Words of wisdom for today. I fear that rather than solidarity, our efforts today are fragmented. Our leaders have not created a mechanism for the not so silent majority average Joe to be involved in the fight against racism. I am also convinced that many people are just plain unaware of what the civil rights laws mean. Does all discrimination have to be directed at a group or can an individual be the subject of civil rights violations? Many people think the individual is not protected, but that is not true. The California Unruh act for example CC 51 protects the individual as well as the group. The power of the individual.
